This highly respected prehistory museum is situated within the southernmost of the Loire Valley chateaux. It is home to important archaeological collections from the Paleolithic era to the Bronze Age.

The Museum of Prehistory sits at the heart of what is widely recognized as having been an exceptional site of flint production in the Neolithic period.
